Mustasim N. Rumi, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, offers comprehensive spine surgery and non-surgical treatments for neck and back issues. Dr. Rumi is highly skilled at treating disc herniations, nerve root impingement, spinal cord compression, spinal stenosis, sciatica, radiculopathy and myelopathy, vertebral compression fractures, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma, spinal tumors, other degenerative conditions of all areas of the spine, sports-related neck and back injuries, neck and back pain, and spinal fractures.

Dr. Rumi earned his undergraduate degree in molecular biology at Colgate University in upstate New York, graduating cum laude. While completing his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious national medical honor society. Dr. Rumi completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Penn State University in Pennsylvania, where he decided to focus his career in spinal disorders and surgery. Therefore, he pursued additional specialty fellowship training in spine surgery at the Emory University Spine Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Orthopaedic Association, and the Williamson County Medical Society.
