Michael Valastro, MD, is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Valastro specializes in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, and total joint replacements of the hip and knee. His expertise extends to a subspecialty in sports medicine and reconstructive knee and hip surgery.
Dr. Valastro is an experienced level 2 orthopedic trauma surgeon, and he offers advanced care for general orthopedic issues, including fractures in adults and children.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Valastro earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry before attending the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, where he received his medical degree and finished both his residency and internship training. Dr. Valastro is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and retains active memberships with the Texas Orthopaedic Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Williamson County Medical Society.
